Faye Walsh Drouillard is passionate for social change through entrepreneurship and applying business practice to socially driven organizations. She currently works as a management consultant for growing nonprofit organizations in need of organizational assessment, capacity building, business planning and fund and board development, most recently with LACI, New Horizons, Exceptional Minds, and the Infrastructure Academy, an organization that provides environmental education and green jobs for Los Angeles youth.
Faye has a background with both for profit and nonprofit organizations. Faye spent over five years as Executive Director of the education-based Freedom Writers Foundation, where she spearheaded the organization’s growth through a major film and book releases. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2003, Faye worked for several years in Paris and London, as a corporate paralegal focused on Fortune 500 corporate mergers and acquisitions and litigation for Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, a Los Angeles-based global law firm. She then became the European Marketing Coordinator for the firm to help with its expansion into new European markets.
As a former partner with Los Angeles Social Venture Partners, Faye led the Governance Consulting Group and was a Co-Lead partner for LASVP’s investment in Healthy Child Healthy World. Faye has provided pro-bono consulting through the Taproot Foundation and Public Counsel as a project manager and French language translator. She graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Studies and earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Faye started a giving circle in Amsterdam and lives in Europe, with residences in Dublin and Paris, with her husband Vincent and their three children, making frequent trips back to the States and their home in Los Angeles.
