Jessica has a passion for creating social change by designing grant programs and strategic initiatives focused on strengthening communities. She provides philanthropic consulting services for family foundations and individual philanthropists, helping them achieve greater impact with their charitable dollars. As a long time associate at JMC Philanthropic Advisors, she was responsible for a wide range of programmatic activities, including the development of grantmaking strategies, due diligence and the management of grant systems and initiatives. Areas of specialty include art, education, environment, health innovations, veterans, and community building. Jessica assisted several Next Generation advisory boards, providing them with insight, tools and a platform to inform and enhance their philanthropy both individually and as a group.
Jessica blends a strong background focused on strategy, development, communication and relationship building. As an experienced fundraiser in the political and nonprofit fields, she consulted on several statewide and national political campaigns, raising capital across business sectors and advising on fundraising and messaging strategy. She produced large scale events and served on fundraising committees for The Kempe Foundation, Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation and Urban Peak.
Jessica began her career in Colorado politics, serving as a Legislative Aide to a Colorado State Senator, conducting policy research in the areas of health and human services and handling constituent concerns. She also worked in the Colorado House of Representatives Minority Communications Office increasing public awareness on various legislative issues.
Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a member of The Southern California Grantmakers.
