Having honed her skills at the prestigious Getty Foundation for over a decade, Kathleen Johnson is a seasoned grantmaker with experience in program development, best practices/compliance, and communications. While her deepest content area of expertise is arts and culture, both locally and internationally, Kathleen’s practice now includes a broader mix of projects in education, social service, health, and community engagement.
Johnson has worked with foundations as well as nonprofit organizations, and thus has the knowledge and discernment needed to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, from board members to grass roots service providers. Clients have included the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts, the Getty Foundation, The Rose Hills Foundation, California State Summer School for the Arts, and Walden Philanthropy Advisors. Kathleen is a member of the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers (NNCG).
