So many nonprofits were nominated for #SupportingOurSector this year and we were overwhelmed with the heartwarming nominations that came in! When we designed this initiative, we wanted to be sure to help amplify the causes that our community cares about. In response to the dozens of organizations and hundreds and hundreds of meaningful recommendations we read through, we’re sharing the list of nominated organizations with links to their website and social media pages, and a selection of the nominations we received.

Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation

Over 80% of every dollar actually goes to the research! Their grant process really identifies the best research happening at top hospitals in the country. The government barely gives 4% of the budget to pediatrics, so foundations like PCRF are essential to saving more lives. I have met families who have directly benefited from the research PCRF believed in and funded so that kids can live a cancer-free life. I have met doctors who credit PCRF for getting their research off the ground and into accessible treatments by patients and families. PCRF inspires hope in families everywhere. “This organization provides disadvantaged and “sheltered” children with items to bring them joy, comfort, and relief during a time of crisis where spousal abuse occurs. It supports babies, children and teens that are entering and living in transitional and crisis domestic violence shelters.
