Marta Ferro
Founder & President
Marta Ferro is the Founder and President of Starfish Impact, a 20-year-old firm that advises families, foundations, and companies on philanthropy, social impact, and nonprofit strategy. She helps clients clarify their values, design meaningful giving strategies, and turn big ideas into results that strengthen communities, advance equity, and create lasting impact.
Under Marta’s leadership, Starfish Impact empowers philanthropists — whether seasoned funders or those just beginning their giving journey — to invest their resources, time, and expertise with purpose, clarity, and measurable results. The firm’s mission is to move clients from intention to action, fostering generosity that sparks sustainable change.
Previously, Marta served as Managing Director, Philanthropy & Mission-Aligned Investing at Angeles Wealth Management and worked in Goldman Sachs’ investment management division, serving on Diversity Committees at both firms to advance equity and inclusion in leadership.
Marta is deeply engaged in community leadership. She is Co-Founder of AngelesArtFund, a partner at Social Justice Partners LA, a board member at Liberty Hill Foundation, a recent Trustee at Westland School, and Southern California Clerk and member of the Friends Alumni Network–Alumni Board at Sidwell Friends School.
She holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson, where she received the Dean’s Fellowship Scholarship and a Kauffman Fellowship for Entrepreneurial Leadership, and a B.A. (Cum Laude) from Vassar College in Psychology and Education. A lifelong athlete, Marta co-captained the women’s soccer teams at both Vassar and Sidwell Friends — experiences that continue to shape her approach to leadership, teamwork, and resilience.

Farrah serves as a philanthropic advisor for Starfish Impact. A Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®, she specializes in multigenerational family philanthropy and family dynamics, strategic planning, and board relations and governance. Farrah’s background crosses both nonprofits and philanthropy; prior to privately advising families, Farrah served The Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy as the Assistant Director and the Director of Development and External Relations.

Georgia serves as a philanthropic consultant for Starfish Impact. She leverages her skills in PR, social media, project management, and event planning to create results for both nonprofit and for-profit clients. Additionally, she has unique experience working with innovative technologies at global public companies—including the launch of major hardware and software platforms used to create social change. As an entrepreneur in both the private and nonprofit sectors, Georgia is a dynamic leader in social change movements, where she strives to generate awareness for causes ranging from poverty and homelessness to health and children’s issues.

Jen serves as a strategic marketing consultant for Starfish Impact. She specializes in brand research and positioning, cause marketing, content strategy, and strategic planning. She brings 20+ years of marketing and revenue development experience in the non-profit, corporate, and agency spaces to her consulting engagements. Jen serves on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Oregon, and has also held nonprofit leadership roles with organizations such as 5050 Women on Boards, Reclaim Our Vote, Moms Demand Action, The United Nations Foundation, and Step Up Women’s Network.

Julie serves as a strategy and development consultant for Starfish Impact. She specializes in strategic planning, resource building, board and staff development, as well as fundraising. Julie has extensive experience in helping nonprofits achieve their fiscal, program and infrastructure goals. For the past 26 years, she has used her innovative and resourceful approach in nonprofit, corporate and educational settings to create and implement effective development strategies.

Lynne Brodhead Clark

Lynne Clark has more than 25 years of experience raising funds for organizations across Los Angeles’ non-profit sector. As a consultant, Lynne works closely with non-profit organizations to identify, strategize, and solicit potential sources for funding; craft effective grant proposals, fundraising and marketing materials; and create new opportunities for long-term donor cultivation and stewardship. During her tenure in the non-profit community, she has raised millions of dollars working with a variety of organizations (e.g., arts, education, civic and social services) to meet their financial goals through individual donor cultivation, foundation and government grants, corporate sponsorships, annual funds, and capital campaigns.
Previously, Lynne was Director of Development at UCLA’s Fowler Museum where she oversaw fundraising, membership, board relations, and special events (1997-2008). There, she gained extensive experience working with faculty and curators on complex research, exhibition, and project proposals that funders could understand and get excited to support.
Lynne has served as a grant review panelist for the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department and the LA County Arts Commission and taught professional courses on grant writing. She serves on the board of reDiscover Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing children’s creativity through hands-on making with sustainable materials. She is also a practicing artist.

Adrienne leverages 20+ years of experience in the social impact sector for both nonprofit and corporate clients. She specializes in strategic planning, board relations, fund development, communications, social innovation and corporate social responsibility, and community engagement. Adrienne spent more than a decade at the Getty Museum and led three nonprofits, maximizing impact by aligning resources, building consensus around a shared vision, forging strategic partnerships, and securing funding to realize the vision. She excels at forging kind, ethical, high-performing teams that embrace social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion; seek excellence; and achieve measurable outcomes.

For 15 years, Otha has worked in a variety of issue areas and roles in the social impact sector. A passionate generalist, he has experience supporting social entrepreneurs and leaders as a fiscal sponsor advisor, grantmaker, initiative director, and grantwriter. He leverages this experience to scale nonprofit capacity, launch foundation engagement strategies, develop grant proposals, and serve as an implementation lead for grantmaking initiatives and activities.

He specializes in developing grant proposals, foundation engagement, and earned revenue strategy.
Thomas serves as a grant review panelist for the National Science Foundation and as a 4.0 Schools Angel Syndicate Fellow, where he supported innovative education initiatives through trust-based grantmaking.

Lilli Barrett-O’Keefe (she/her)
Strategy, Development & Organization Management Consultant
Lilli Barrett-O’Keefe brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and social impact. She specializes in developing funding collectives and designing sustainable models that enable nonprofits to effectively attract, manage, and deploy resources.
Lilli has been instrumental in launching and leading community impact initiatives for major organizations, with experience spanning program design, strategic partnerships, and executive leadership. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the world’s leading network of soccer-based nonprofits.
She brings deep expertise in brand strategy and cross-sector collaboration, having partnered with global brands and professional sports clubs, and crafted giving strategies for athletes, actors, and emerging philanthropists.
