Marta founded Starfish Impact in 2005 to connect nonprofits and philanthropic organizations with resources in a strategic and effective way. Prior to Starfish, she worked with Goldman Sachs’ investment management division and was a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and the Western Region recruiting team for MBA programs.
In the greater Los Angeles community where she lives, Marta is involved with multiple nonprofit organizations including her current roles as a partner at Social Venture Partners (SVP-LA), board member with Liberty Hill Foundation and Trustee of Westland School. She belongs to numerous professional and alumni organizations including Southern California Grantmakers. Marta holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BA in Psychology and Education from Vassar College—where she also achieved women’s soccer records for goals scored, assists, and total points.
